How we handle your information

Who we are

CRNA Critics ("the Site") is a members-only review community where certified registered nurse anesthetists rate staffing agencies, recruiters, anesthesia groups, and hospitals. It is operated by Medcrisis Anesthesia LLC, 12073 Mare Ct, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379 ("we," "us"). The iPhone and Android apps are a shell around the Site: everything you do in the apps is handled by the same servers and covered by this policy and our Terms of Use & Member Agreement.

What we collect

When you request access. Your first and last name, email address, phone number, and NBCRNA certification number, and once approved, the password you create. Student members (SRNAs) also give their school, program, and expected graduation date, and an instructor's name and email. Recruiters, agency employees, and group leaders tell us their role. We record the version of the Terms you accepted, the time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string, and whether you ticked the optional box consenting to text messages.

While you use the Site. The reviews and ratings you post, the agencies, agents, and facilities you name, the reports you file about other content, feedback you send us, and messages between you and the site admin. Our servers keep ordinary access logs (IP address, pages requested, time, device type).

From other sources. We check the name and NBCRNA number you give against the NBCRNA's public credential lookup to confirm you are a certified CRNA. We do not pull anything else from it.

What we do not collect. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health records, payment details, or advertising identifiers. The apps do not use analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How we use it

• To verify that members are CRNAs (or eligible SRNAs) and to approve or decline access requests.
• To run the Site: sign you in, show reviews, keep category averages, and let you edit or delete your own content.
• To moderate: review reports, investigate suspected conflicts of interest, and enforce the Terms.
• To contact you about your account, review reminders, new features, and opportunities relevant to CRNAs. You can opt out of marketing email with the unsubscribe link in any message. Text messages are sent only if you gave separate consent; reply STOP to stop.
• To keep the Site secure and to comply with law.

Reviews are anonymous to other members

Other members see your reviews, ratings, and comments, but never your name, email, phone number, or NBCRNA number. The site admin can see which member posted a review so that reports can be investigated. If you delete your account and choose to keep your reviews up, they stay anonymous and are disconnected from you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not give member lists to agencies, recruiters, hospitals, or data brokers.

We share information only with service providers that run the Site for us, and only what they need:

• Railway hosts the application and its database.
• Resend delivers our email.
• Cloudflare provides DNS, network security, and inbound email routing.
• Apple and Google distribute the apps and may collect their own diagnostic data under their policies.

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to enforce the Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CRNA Critics, our members, or the public. If the Site is sold or transferred, member accounts and content may transfer with it under these same commitments.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account exists. When you delete your profile we remove your name, email, phone number, and NBCRNA number from the active database. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security. Records of your acceptance of the Terms may be kept as long as needed to document that agreement.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your reviews at any time from My reviews.
• Delete your profile from the link in the Site footer, on the website or inside the app. You choose whether your anonymous reviews stay up or are removed with it.
• Unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any message; reply STOP to end text messages.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, at the address below.

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, and Texas) can exercise their rights by emailing us. We honor these requests for all members regardless of where they live.

Security

Connections to the Site are encrypted (HTTPS). Your password is stored only as a salted hash (we cannot read it), and first-time sign-in and password resets use one-time links that expire. Access to member data is limited to the site admin. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you believe your account has been misused.

Children

The Site is for licensed anesthesia professionals and students in accredited programs. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email members.
